Love, drama, and danger

She rolled onto her side, her leg coming over the pillow as she clutched it closer to her. She had had the most wonderful dream last night. Wrath had taken her so ferociously, so dominating and commanding. But it was only a dream. It had to be. . .  but when her ''pillow'' moaned, turned over to cover her with a strong, muscular arm she froze.
Her eyes slowly opened, no longer dwelling in that sweet boarder between sleep and reality.
"Oh my God." She breathed. Memories rushed back into her, last night was far from a dream, though she realized it was worse... He had been completely drunk when he had taken her.
Her gaze traveled from his chest up to the beautiful blue of his eyes. He was awake.
Before he could say anything, Lilith jumped off the bed, her eyes searching frantically for her clothes.
"Lilith?-"
She cut him off before he could inquire further, "I'm sorry, Wrath. I have taken advantage of you state last night to fuel my own petty urges." She didn't risk to glance at him, fearing of what she might find in those ocean  depths of his.
Her eyes locked onto her torn dress on the floor. . . She knew she should have never gone to the party. It was a pointless waste of time. A place where people went to lose themselves, a place where she did not belong. She had responsibilities now, a child whom depended on her. . . yes... That brought back the memory of her decision. It was for the best, she told herself.
Shaking the thoughts out of her mind she rushed to her closet, finding and putting on her armor.
How could she have succumbed to such primal instincts? She was in the middle of cursing herself in every way she could think when she felt a sudden shiver run down her spine. She spun and smacked right into Wrath's massive body. How was it, that no matter how much she trained, she could never stop the way her body reacted to him?

  1. Lilith looked absolutely flustered, the panic and confusion in her eyes most prevalent, as she seemed at a loss for words. The pink hue that colored her pale cheeks matched the locks of her hair, the emerald of her eyes bright and true. Her lush lips working frantically to find the words to come to her aid… so leapt into them, Wrath’s hand cupping her face as he tenderly claimed her lips. The shock left Lilith eagerly welcoming him, leaving the both of them lost in this wonderfully pure moment.
He broke away softly, taking in the feel of their lips parting one another as he did so, and met her gaze once more. The panic was now replaced with a longing and disbelief as her penetrating gaze to find the meaning of his actions in his eyes made his own heart skip a beat. It was the oddest sensation, how strongly the call of her body, of her fiery spirit, drew him in. Lilith closed her eyes, biting her lip as she bowed her head.
"Wrath... I'm..." Her head shook in denial as her hands fidgeted with the garments in her arms. "I'm sorry." Avoiding his gaze, she turned to leave.
"Lilith," Wrath called, gently grasping her arms in both his hands. He reached with one to hold her chin, lifting her head back to eye level... but she refused to make eye contact. "Please, look at me." Hesitating, at first, she finally complied and he gave her a warming smile in return.
"Hear me out," he began. It was so strange, how just the intensity of her gaze could steal his words. He'd always been forthright and being at a loss for words candidly bewildered him. Yet what fell from his lips felt like words awaiting to be spoken, already woven to convey what he needed to say. "... I'm weak. I could slay thousands in a fort night with ease and with cold detachment... But... when I think of you... when I'm with you, Lilith, there is a warmth in my cold heart... I feel somehow I get broken down to the weakest of forms only to be rebuilt with such strength and conviction in your presence." Steadily, he moved his hand from her chin to cup her cheek, feeling the heat of her visibly red blush. He caressed her face almost nonchalantly, the action nearly making him lose his focus. Concentrate, Wrath... she needs to know. "You didn't take advantage of me last night... You freed me. I want to be with you, Lilith." Still holding her arm in his other hand, he brought her closer still until there was little to no space between them. "... I love you."

  2. Her heart soared at the words. A smile so bright and joyous found her lips as she practically jumped into his warm embrace and brought him in to another kiss.
In between breathes Lilith happily said, "I love you too,Wrath."
Nothing could ever ruin this perfect moment in her life. Wrath loved her. . . he loved her! She had never felt this blessed, to be more than a comrade to him was enlightening to her.
But it seemed that Lilith was never meant to have these moments last. Just off in the distance the sound of her babe's cries tore through her and took her down to reality once more.
Stepping back lightly away from Wrath, she turned to peer at the maid who had her son in her arms.
"Mi Lady, I apologize for the interruption, but it seems the child cries for you. It will not settle to feed or sleep."
With a regretful sigh Lilith moved away to the babe.
"Thank you, I will take care of him."
The maid nodded and bowed before exciting the room.
Almost as soon as Lilith took the child into her arms did it stop crying. The small hiccups that came from him quickly vanished and he looked up at her with dazzling eyes. His small hands reaching up as if to touch her face but she drew further away from him instead.
    "Lilith?"
Averting his gaze once more she responded, "I know,Wrath. . . but I cannot. The child would be so much better off with a family whom will love him undyingly." She chanced a glance at Wrath, expecting to find some form of conviction in those beautiful blue eyes of his. In fact, she somewhat hoped for it. She knew how to react in that situation, knew how to defend and guard. . . but instead she found understanding, compassion. She shifted uncomfortably under the intensity of his gaze and decided to attempt to put the babe to rest.
She rocked him gently, pacing back and forth beside the morning sun that shed in from the balcony window.
Wrath broke the silence then, "You should not rid yourself of him. You love him, you only lack the knowledge to realize it."
    "Wrath-"

  3. "No, listen. Lilith, did you not moments ago say you loved me? You say you're not capable of such emotion yet you feel it for me. You cannot tell me you do not feel it for your son." She felt the warmth that radiated from his body as he stood next to her, his hands stilling her impatient steps and turned her to face him.
"You are the only one who can give him what he needs. I know you realized it the moment this child stopped its cries by your presence alone. I will be with you Lilith. You will not have to raise this child on your own. . ." He seemed to hesitate a bit before finally drawing in a breath for courage.
"If you will have me, I wil be more than honored to raise him with you, as my son"
Her body froze at his words. The possibility of a family. . .with Wrath. It seemed too good to be true. But how could she as it of him? It was such a daunting responsibility, it frightened even her. . . and yet. . .somehow she was relieved at the offer, and before she could stop herself she said, "Yes. . yes Wrath. I would love that."
"How charming." The voice sounded from behind Lilith, its familiarity turning the blood within her veins cold. And in that very moment, it all seemed to happen in slow motion. One moment she was staring into the eyes of her beloved Wrath. . the next she felt the sharp claws of Ahvid as he wrapped his arms around her waist, with one poised right at her throat.
He turned his head slightly and Lilith cringed as she heard him take in a deep breath as he took her scent.
"I think I'll take back what belongs to me." His hand reaching down to caress her child's cheek.
"No!" Lilith snarled, thrashing violently in his grasp only to find his hold steady and strong.
Her eyes flashed to Wrath's, his gaze having turned to one of endearment to pure anger. She hoped that through her eyes he would understand her, though she did not leave it up to chance. Being of royal blood, Lilith could communicate mentally with any wolf, she thanked the gods now more than ever for it.
Wrath, take my son. Please. . . do not come after me. I cannot bear to think of what they wil do to you. Please. . .
She felt the air change around her. Ahvid was pulled her down and at that exact moment Lilith threw her child into Wrath's awaiting arms, only just realizing much to her dismay that he was right. . . she loved her son more than life itself only now she felt foolish for realizing it too late.
